Who I am
I have 10+ years of experience in design, with the last 7 years focused on digital products — from consumer apps and internal tools to brand systems and end-to-end UX.
I used to want to be a nurse. Then a movie director. At one point, a K-pop star. (Because I like helping people, telling stories, and — let’s be honest — being a little dramatic.)
But design? That’s the one that stuck. It’s what I’m best at — and it happens to let me do everything I care about: think, build, and communicate, all at once. I love using those skills on meaningful work. That’s why I joined Flashfood.
From Seoul → Toronto
I started my career in Korea as a graphic designer at a creative agency — where I learned how to tell stories, move fast, and make things look good and work well. Since moving to Toronto in 2017, I’ve designed for companies like Nanoleaf, Qriket, and Flashfood — across B2C products, B2B tools, and full marketplace ecosystems.
Right now: Flashfood
Right now, I lead product design at Flashfood — across the shopper experience and tools for grocery partners. Grocery partners post unsold items; shoppers buy them at up to 50% off. It’s simple — and everyone wins. Both products support Flashfood’s mission to feed families not landfills, and I’m proud to be part of it.
This is my zone.
I’m best in the early mess — when the problem’s unclear, the timeline’s tight, and the team needs clarity fast. I move fast, ask a lot of questions, and stay grounded in what makes sense for users and the teams building for them. What I’m most drawn to are complex problems — the ones that are messy, not fully defined, maybe even a little chaotic. That’s where I do my best work.
I’ve also taken on freelance and creative direction work through my own studio, Studio I.N.G.
Different hats, same principles — thoughtful interaction, purposeful design, and products that know why they’re here.
